Miramare Castle and Park

Miramare is the perfect day trip when you want to combine culture and scenery without going too far: the Castle overlooks the sea and the Park can be visited for free (with seasonal opening hours). It is one of the most beloved places because in just a few hours it offers you: views over the Gulf, gardens, paths, photo spots and – if you want – also a visit to the Castle museum.

How to get there (the easy way)

• By bus from the center/station: the routes indicated for Miramare/Grignano are a convenient option for those who do not want to use a car.
• By car: you can get there by driving along the coastal road and following the signs for Miramare/Grignano.

What to do (recommended itinerary)

1. Walk through the Park: start at the entrance and head down towards the sea, stopping at the panoramic viewpoints.
2. “Postcard” photo: the castle from the sea side, with the terraces and the water below.
3. Museum (optional): if you are interested in the history and the interiors, consider the visit and the official tickets.

• When to go: early morning or late afternoon to avoid the busiest times (especially in high season).
• Ideal duration: 2–4 hours (Park + Castle).
• What to bring: comfortable shoes: the Park is large and it is worth exploring it properly.
